The T-Boy ASCII Art Gallery

This page is a dual tribute. ASCII art is one of the most formidable, yet underused, means of conveying visual data over the web. The high amount of detail afforded by the medium, combined with the extremely efficient compression algorithm, makes it (to my mind at least) the mp3 of the graphics world.

And what better opportunity to present some portraits of my friend T-Boy, who has the most asciifiable face of anybody I've ever encountered. These are just a few samples, but the human imagination is the only limiting factor on the scope of creating pictures of T-Boy using computer characters.

Above we see T-Boy in a business-like posture - tie round his neck, trying to look sensible. Those of you who know him will recognise what a difficult task that is.

Next we have him trying to look pensive, yet approachable. Perhaps he pictures himself as some latter-day version of Rodin's 'Thinker', though this is far from the truth on more levels than I care to explain.

Finally, we have T-Boy in a pose with which we should all be familiar. Grumpy-looking, ready to seize on every little smile, laugh and comment as if they're all designed to persecute him personally. But he hasn't even guessed how deep the conspiracy goes.
